Diggs-Latham Elementary has been awarded a 2010-2011 Lowe's Toolbox for Education grant from the Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation (LCEF) for $5,000. Our project is called "Global Gardens" to reflect our school's theme.
We only had one parent show up for the first workday, but with the help of Kevin Pichardo and his YMCA after school class, we were able to get several plants in the ground.
YOU GUYS ROCK!! It was such a blast finally getting something in the ground.Keep up the good work and take care of our garden; it is special, just like every one of you! Thanks for the help.
Hey, I haven't heard anything about our garden lately. Who has been watching over our project? Don't forget we need weeders and people to continue to love our garden. See you all soon. Keep up the good work.
